The winner of Design Edge magazine’s Mar/Apr 2011 “Name That Font” contest was our very own Dominic Ayre. Dom correctly identified the lowercase “g” (shown here) from a font called Poplar. American Barbara Lind designed this display face in 1990 for the Adobe Wood Type series. A Gothic condensed, Poplar was based on a typeface from an 1830 William Leavenworth type specimen book. Dom won a t-shirt and one-month stock photo subscription from Pixmac.
