We went to @issuesmagshop . The team traveled over to Dundas West to hang out with @nickydearest in her AMAZING magazine shop. We got a pre-opening viewing and we were very exited to hear about the store and the contents. She is so passionate and knowledged... Needless to say many titles came back with us… So excited that Issues is in the world and part of the community.

We had the immense pleasure to work with the @sheridanillustration program, which retains some of the top illustrators in the business as professors and program coordinators, to help them create a “growing” brand. We approached the project as two pieces: a visual brand for the program to start building a look and feel for their internal and external marketing, and an aligned visualization for their annual graduate show. In the past, the grad show, like a lot of their contemporaries, would create a new theme for each year. This does not help to build brand recognition. With Sheridan, we created “Drawn Together,” a consistent title that can be built on using the year. For example, Drawn Together ’22. The system uses a strong condensed typeface as its base component and only ever in black to highlight the illustration. An icon of a vertical pencil is added to the brand to act as a supporting metaphor. Illustration by @lali3bre

We had the honour last week of revealing to the world the new visual brand for @caseware. At a large event in in Toronto we presented this launch video created in partnership with @bythebooth. An evocative video that talks directly to Caseware’s solutions for its distributors and clients.
The colour palette is build around the logo’s coral and onyx and gives a robust set of shades as options. Layering in black and white visuals and hand drawn elements the underlying philosophy of these brand assets is to allow infinite customization within the grids parameters. We were excited to work with Pastiche Grotesque from @order.design.nyc Pastiche feels warm and inclusive as the lead face for the brand.
We were involved in a deep brand process involving over 400+ international interviews. Structured around a scalable grid the system allows the various international partners using the system to customize their marketing materials for their regions.

We had the honour last week of revealing to the world the new visual brand for @caseware. The logomark, supported by a robust visual brand system, is a coupling of Caseware’s C and W. Together they create the vision of a mountain (a point of acroception, or the bird’s eye view) with the sun rising behind it. We then continued the curvature into the typography to create unity between the symbol and type.

UCDA AWARDS!!! We have had the privilege to work closely with York University over the past 18 months. As with any institute of their size, we have been in conversations that range from innovation at the university, creation of a new campus, through to student enrolment. We helped create the school’s new installed brand platform that went on to affect York’s marketing and communications across all faculties and departments. It is exciting to announce that elements of this work have been honoured with awards by the University and College Designer’s Association @ucdapics, based in Tennessee. York’s brand platform and Economic Social Impact Report (digital and print versions), were both recognized by this prestigious organization.
